The edifice was built in the center of the city. Even though the inscription on the attic façade is the year 1907 (it is assumed that was the year when the workshop was founded), the building was erected in 1926-1927 for the needs of the wealthy Niš property owner and one of the first industrialists, Đoka Dimitrijević. The designer of the building is not known.
The building was designed as a two-story building with a large residential and office space, and it represents a very valuable and appealing building which enriches the architectonic cityscape of the center of Niš. The building was built in the spirit of the Neo-Renaissance, with rhythmically projecting and receding façade surfaces finished in artificial stone. The relief plastics around the windows and attic emphasize the Neo-Renaissance characteristics of the building.
The building still retains its original function to this day.
