It is located in the center of the city. The building was built in 1902 for the needs of the Niš stock savings fund, established as early as 1884 by the merchants, property owners and intellectuals of Niš. The bank was open until 1948, when it was discontinued and the nationalized building was given to the cultural club “Abrašević”.
The building has an elongated volume, and was built with an elevated ground level, with a basement space beneath. The front, main façade with simple façade plastics, and a decorative frieze on the cornice with geometric and plant ornaments, has a pronounced central entrance, accessed by a staircase. On both sides of the staircase, there are full-scale women figures, goddesses of fertility.
Since 1960, the building has housed the symphony orchestra, with an acoustic concert hall with 200 seats and an elevated stage. In the basement is a café-club, and in the annex behind the building there are administration and auxiliary rooms.
